The mediocrity of this Tate Modern extravaganza was traumatic. Even if it had happened now, and been amended to incorporate the revision of New York City, and given some contemporary relevance, it could never have been saved. Sometimes blockbusters sink without trace. This is what has happened to ‘Century city’. No one even remembers it, or even skipper Lars.
